HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

With a history of osteoporosis (osteopenia is bone loss that it not severe enough to be classified as osteoporosis), it would be best to be on medication.

This condition means that she is at increased risk of bone fractures which can occur in any of the bones affected. The bone loss would also affect healing of any fracture that occurs.

The use of medication would prevent or delay any further bone loss and help to reduce her risk of fracture.

I hope this helps
