Is Obesity Associated With Increased Risk Of Miscarriage?
my wife had 3 recurrent miscarriage during 4 yrs of our marriage. Each pregnancy was about after an year break. The last one was in the month of april this year. My wife wants to plan for a pregnancy soon. Shes 82 kilos in weight, where her height is around 5 3inches. she seems to be obese. I want her to loose weight before we try another attempet. she says, since the doctors are not saying about it, let s just try. I m worried, whether we can proceed or not.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Yes. Obesity is one of the risk factors for miscarriage. But it is not the direct cause. You need to get your hormones evaluated as well as response of uterus to hormonal changes by scan. If any treatable cause is noted, it needs be addressed to.
