Is Night Sweats,abdominal Pain,dizziness And Diarrhea A Sign Of Liver Disease?

Hi my husband is 67 and has always liked a drink. He has been feeling unwell for about a month now - He does not sleep well has chronic night sweats abdominal pain feels very run down he has also had diaorrhea for a few days and has lost weight although this could be down to him doing a physical job in construction. He also has dizzy spells from time to time - I cannot get him to see his GP. Could the above be signs of possible liver disease ?.

Thank for your query.
Noted the history about your husband who is a construction worker, drinks daily, feeling unwell for about a month, has night sweats, abdominal pains and diarrhea and also has weight loss. Also has dizzy spells from time to time. Wants to know whether this may be due to liver disease.
The symptoms are more suggestive of an intestinal problem, liver may be infected secondarily.
I would advise you the following:
You have to take him to a Doctor for clinical evaluation and examination.
Having dizzy spells in a construction worker can be a big problem.
Tests of stool, blood and urine,
ultrasonography and colonoscopy may be needed to get to the diagnosis so that a proper treatment can be done to get a cure.
He has to stop alcohol till the picture is clear. .
Ans also advised to do work only on ground, not on the floors above till the dizziness and other symptoms are abated.
He may need a proper course of an antibiotic and metronidazole if indicated for.
