Is Nerve Pain A Symptom Of Shingles?

Hey Doctor, I got chicken pox when I was very young around 6 or 7 years old and I got shingles when I was around 34, now I'm 62 I started experiencing the same kind of nerve pain since 8 years ago but no blisters. My son told me and consulted our doctor to get gaba pentene which reduces the pain. Do you think is the pain due to shingles?
