Is Nausea And Uneasiness In Chest Due To Azulix MF2 Forte?

Recently my sugar has been detected & my doctor gave my glycomet 500 SR before meals & udiliv 300 after meals both twice a day. My weight is 106 kg. I was given these for 10 days after which i did my blood sugar test my Sugar F was-249 & sugar PP was 281 so after seeing my reports the doctor changed my medicine from glycomet to azulux MF 2 Forte twice before meals & to continue with udiliv 300 which i took the first day & felt nausea & uneasiness in my chest could this be as azulux is much stronger or my body is reacting as by body is adjusting to this new drug ? what could be the reason for this?

Hi
Welcome to health care magic!
First you were prescribed metformin. On your review you have prescribed a combination of glimipride and metformin. Now the beauty here is that metformin when taken is good for your diabetes as well as weight loss. only thing is that metformin taken before meals can give rise to nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and bitterness in the mouth. once given after meals these symptoms are avoided.
If i had been your treating Physician i would have
1)continued metformin after food
2)added plain glimipride 30mins before meals
3) put you on a set of antacids just to avoid tablet related symptoms.

You can discuss with your doctor regarding these points.
