Is Metoprolol Instead Of Carvedilol Suggested For Congestive Heart Failure In An Asthmatic Patient?

I have been diagnosed with CHF. I was taking metoprolol, then carvedilol. I have asthma and was having a real hard time with these drugs. I was prescribed bisoprolol. My reaction to this was even worse. What else can I take? I have taken myself off these medications.

Dear sir

There is not much difference between metaprolol and cardevelol, as both belongs to group of cardioselective betablockers.

Metaprolol is suggested by cardiologist as it has extended release preperations. it is not known to cause exacerbation of asthma or COPD.

So in my opinion it is advised to continue taking metaprolol.

Thanks
