I can understand your concern. As 9 years is a pretty early age for a girl to start menstruating, it is not uncommon. Usually, it is just menstruation that has started early while she will grow in an adult at the usual age. However, I would advise you to take her to a gynecologist to rule out other disorders related to early menstruation like thyroid disorder, ovarian cysts, or other source of estrogen in the body. If she does not have any other disorder, you and she can accept early menstruation as just a variation from routine.
In addition, you will have to careful as a parent of her. She will develop emotions and feelings according to her hormones while she will feel unable to cope up with these new feelings as a 9 year old girl. You will have to help her to understand her feelings and put it into words and make her feel able to cope with them. Also, she may find difficult to have a peer group that feels same as her. She will be more mature than her friends soon. So you will have to fill the gap of her mature friend as her.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Let me know if you have follow up questions.
