Is Medical Marijuana Effective In The Treatment Of Severe Joint Pain?

Hello, I am currently being treated at Columbia Pain and Spine. I asked about Medical Marijuana, and they did not disagree, but told me to research it. I have had several bad falls, and related surgeries, plus other back and joint problems. Are you there?

Hi,

Yes, Marijuana is helpful for such orthopedic pain when routine painkillers are not helpful. But you need orthopedic doctor's prescription for Medical Marijuana.

In my opinion, you should definitely try centrally acting (acts on the brain) painkillers like Tramadol, Pregabalin or Gabapentin. If you can get pain relief from these then no need for medical Marijuana.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
