General Surgeon 's  Response
Yes. Its squamous cell carcinoma, A type of skin cancer. Its caused by many conditions such sun light, long standing skin wounds as in your friend and so on. Like all cancer it also grows rapidly over skin and sometimes may spread to other parts of body. But pathologist can say what type the cancer is means mild or moderate or severe.Depending which we can treat by just ointments or by
radiations like laser or by surgery.
