Is Macular Amyloidosis, Curable With Peeling Treatments?

Hi Doctor! My dermatologist has diagnosed me with macular amyloidosis on my arms and has suggested some peeling treatments. Are these treatments safe and effective? He has diagnosed that it has occurred due to excessive scrubbing on my arms with a scrubber since a long time during bathing . So, will this peeling treatment really help in reducing the darkness on my skin?

hello
Thanks for the query.
Peeling treatments are helpful in macular amyloidosis.
however it is a costly procedure and requires many sittings for good results.
It is better to go ahead with peeling creams which are available over-the-counter.
Various creams like skinlite, melalite etc are available.
You can use any of these.
These give a slow response but the response is long-lasting.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you
