Is Loose Stool,loss Of Appetite And Groin Pain Sign Of HIV?

Hi doc,

i had unprotected sex with a prosititude 16days ago. I encountered gland and groin pain although i can't see it but i could feel the pain. My chest feel pain while i breathe throughout the whole day, i took x-ray and ecg test both test shows i'm normal. Most importantly for the past 2weeks i have loose stools everyday. No appetite to eat anything and i don't feel hungry even i didnt eat for the whole day. 14hours of sleep yet yawning 10times within an hour. Anyone could help me? Did i infected Hiv? If Hiv Detected after a month through PCR test, can it be cure? I'm only 20 years old.

thank you for query.the symptoms are non specific and may or may not be related to HIVConsult doctor for examination and treatment for same.PCR (RNA-PCR)can be positive as early as post 3 days exposure .but as there will be variations sometimes with duration if the tests have come negative after 10 days of exposure we can consider it as negative.It is highly specific test (99%) for HIV.Do not come to conclusion on your own .the chances by unprotected vaginal intercourse with positive partner is 1 in 200 to 1 in 2000.so ally fears and go for test.Hope it comes negative.There is no cure but there are drugs to control it.You can get back to me for any clarifications with details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist.
