Is Loose Stool Normal During Early Pregnancy?

Hello Doctor, Its been 8 days after my period is due. I took home pregnancy tests twice and i got faint line. My bowels are loose since a week. My previous pregnancy ended up in miscarriage. I am afraid if this is also a symptom of miscarriage. Kindly advise.

I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

Diarrhea is seen in the third trimester of pregnancy, which is a sign of labour. Diarrhoea as early sign of pregnancy is not commonly reported, but in Some women.

Due to the hormone changes which causes alteration in bowel habits might result in diarrhea. But the most commonly reported signs are breast tenderness, fatigue, nausea, increased frequency of urination etc.

However diarrhea is not a good or reliable sign of early pregnancy & also it has no coonect with previous abortion. So relax yourself & don't be anxious. Repeat HPT after 10days of missed periods.
