Is Lipitor Responsible For Itching In The Groin Or Vaginal Area?

I have been taking Lipitor for 6 weeks and noticed one of the side effects listed for those experiencing pre diabetes symptoms is itching in the groin or vaginal area. I have been experiencing some of this. Would this be a reason for concern in continuing to take it or would you recommend swathing meds?

Hello,

With the presenting symptoms infection of the reproductive tract and UTI as to be ruled out. I would advice my patient to relevant blood and urine test with the advice of a venerologist.
In my opinion not need to change Atrvostatin.
Secondly screening for diabetes may be needed if the symptoms are recurrent.
