Is It To Be Concerned About The Hit On The Forehead?

My 10 year old boy was hit straight on with a rock on the center of his forehead, the next night he woke up throwing up? The gash bled and was cleaned by an ambulance that was on hand at the sport event . The child has not been seen by a doctor and his appetite is not back?
