Is It To Be Concerned About The High Blood Pressure?

Blood pressure has been 148/101 for the past 3 weeks. I feel light headed, dizzy, seeing black spots and have swollen legs and ankles. Went to Urgent care and was diagnosed w/a sinus infection (2 weeks ago). My mother died of a mass stroke at 56 and had high blood pressure since she was in her 30 s. Do I need to worry?
