Is It Safe To Visit, Touch And Kiss Someone With MRSA Infection?

My friend was diagnosed with a hospital caused mrsa, she has no open wounds I have no open wounds. I am supposed to visit him next week and I do not want to put him at risk am I or is it okay to visit and kiss him ? should we be concerned regarding the exposure?

I appreciate your concern for the possible spread of MRSA on physical contact.

As a matter of fact MRSA can spread by physical contact such as shaking hands, kissing or the bacteria can spread by simple sneezing.
In addition to skin MRSA is also found in the nasal cavities.

You can visit him while he is in the hospital but do not forget to take preventive measures like wear mask, avoid physical contact as mentioned above.
