Is It Safe To Use Suppositories For Constipation In A Alzheimer S Patient?

Doctor, I am Suresh from chennai, my father aged 83yrs, is sick a week before, had chest congestion & breathing problem, admitted in hospital, treated for 5 days, came back, under medication by doctors. He is having alzheimer s, parkinson, gastric & constipation pbms. He is having elevated glucose levels, hyponatraemia - both are under treatment. He is taking cremaffin plus 20ml daily to pass motion, but as his mobility is totally gone (almost laying in the bed) need your advise to pass stools for him. Can we try suppositories??

Yes you can use suppositories but I would suggest to take polyethylene glycol which is better for constipation.
