Is It Safe To Use Acid Peel For Brownish Marks On Face Caused By Plucking Hairs?
I have small brownish marks on the sides of my face caused due to plucking of hair. I am using the cream demelan and eflora on it. Is there a faster way to get rid of them . Will glycolic acid peel help. is it safe? should i opt for it. how long does it take to heel in case of this peel and what are the side effects
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. Glycolic acid peels can help to lighten the marks due to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The number of sessions you need depends on how deep / dark the marks are. In general you may need 6-8 sessions done once in 2-3 weeks. The side effects of peel are mild redness, increased sensitivity to sunlight and mild peeling off of skin. It should be done by a qualified dermatologist to avoid adverse effects. Hope this helps you. Take care.
