Is It Safe To Use A Dry Sauna Post Right Lower Lobe Lobectomy?

Is it safe to use a dry sauna post right lower lobe lobectomy? (surgery was approx 8 months ago) I m a 46 year old male and weigh approximately 250 lbs. I do daily walks of 1.5 miles nearly every day with no problems. However, I was recently exposed to some bad voc s which has given me a feeling of tightness and breathlessness in my chest. I can still easily max out my spirometer to the top, but since the voc exposure it makes me cough sometimes when I do it. I was hoping that the sauna could help me sweat out the toxins and clean out my lungs.

Yes you can use it, it may gives soothing effects of respiratory tract and loosen the mucosa and got relief easily. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water, if symptoms not improved need to take bronchodilator like deriphylline with inhalors. Need to start antibiotics under your doctor guidence. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
