Is It Safe To Travel By Flight Prior To Stent Surgery?
Hello, I've just undergone the stenting surgery( had stent inserted to my kidney). I need to fly abroad in 2 weeks and I dont know whether it's safe to go by plane or it brings some risks to my health? My weight 48, 159 cm -height, surgery 2 days ago. Thank you
1.Two day after the surgery is not recommended to have any long journeys - since the post operative sites are still not healed well ( if it was a open procedure ). 2.You will be kept on antibiotic treatment post operative - that may alter / changes with any kind of underlying medical conditions of you ( diabetics and hypertension) 3.If you do not have any underlying medical conditions and you are physically fit - then by taking the post procedural medication regularly in time you can proceed with your travel. 4.The stent in the kidney could be giving some symptoms like burning sensation you have to be prepared for that. 5.No active movements recommended at this point of time, there are conditions where the stent can be moved. Finally its not recommended - but in compulsion take needful care.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
