Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Safe To Take Weight Loss Pill Oxyellite Pro With Adderall?
I am a 24yr female, 5'8, and 170lbs. I'm currently perscribed adderall and have been taking it for about two years. I recently heard about a weight loss pill called oxyellite pro and wanted to make sure it would be safe to take with the adderall before I tried it.
Hello young lady! Welcome to HCM! I have researched your question thoroughly and if you were one of my patients, I would say that it is not safe to take at all let alone take it with Adderall. First Oxelite Pro was taken off the market due to over 100 documented cases of liver failure caused by a chemical DMAA. Then, the company tried to sneak it in under the guise of a geranium product. Finally, OxelitePro replaced the offending chemical with another dubious chemical called higenamine that hasn't been tested on anything but rabbits until a few weeks ago. But, they did not regain grace. A few weeks ago FDA found Oxyelite Pro contaminated with the antidepressant Prozac which if taken by the wrong person could cause Serotonin Syndrome. Please be safe. Try a lifestyle approach. Kathryn Shattler, MS,RDN
