Is It Safe To Take Fenofibrate When Having Liver Problem?

Thank you, I am taking Fenofibrate (160 mg. 3 times a week) because of fairly high cholesterol. It has lowered my LDL and increased my HDL TG dropped from 209 to 65 LDL particle count dropped from 1056 to 90.
BUT, I have problems with my Liver and have been told Fenofibrate is bad for the Liver.
Can you give me your opinion.

Hi I read your query.

Fenofibrate can cause liver damage and should be discontinued if the liver transaminase increase by 4 fold normal value.

Otherwise they should be used under medical control.

Hope it was of help!
