Is It Safe To Take Amoxicillin Before Elective C Section Surgery?

Hi I m 38 + 3 weeks pregnant, I m booked to have an elective c section on thurs (4/5days time), but I ve had a dry tickly cough for almost 2 weeks now, I was given amoxicillin for 5days at the beginning but it s still here.... What can I do, as I m concerned it s still going to be here when I go in to have my baby? Thanks

I can understand your problem.
Amoxicillin is used for strep infection during pregnancy. It's also used for prophylaxis during c-section where infection is anticipated.
So, You can safely take Amoxicillin for sore throat. It will not harm your baby nor will affect future procedure of c-section.
