Is It Safe To Take Abortion Pills?

my periods have been delayed by eight days and it is conformed that it is pregnant but i want to abort it . the point is i have two cesearan babies and the second baby is now seven years old. my question is that is it safe to take abortion pills. my doctor recomandation is to do an d&c but i dont want to do that please give me an suggestion
