Is It Safe To Take Susten Tablets Post Missed Periods?

Hello I had my las periods on 28th february 2016 got married on 7th March 2016 and we had sex on alternate days, now I missed my periods by 2 months as on today 30th April 2016.. As now doctor suggested me to take medicine susten 200. So is it advisable to take that?

1. Susten (progesterone) causes delay in periods and is needed to support pregnancy (2 months missed period), and get a pregnancy test done.

2. If the test comes out to be positive you can continue the same for next 3 months and if it turns out to be negative then stop Susten and you will get periods in a week

3. Consult an OBGYN physician for direct consultation and management (it will take approximately 15 days for the periods to get regularize.
