General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I would like to tell you that phentermine is not approved and recommended for long-term use for weight reduction, It's is prescribed only for short durations i.e. for few weeks only along with other measures of weight reduction like exercise, behaviour modification and calorie restriction. Though there are no specified contraindications with medications you mentioned but it is not appropriate for long term use and if weight loss has not occurred even after 4 weeks of therapy with it.
Hope this helps you.
Regards.
