Hi,

Norethisterone is generally not advisable while taking combined contraceptive pill since both the drugs can increase the risk of blood clots. Kindly avoid taking both the drugs together. Once the breakthrough bleeding has started, Norethisterone may not be able to reduce the bleeding. In order to postpone the bleeding, Norethisterone is taken 3 to 5 days before the day of expected bleeding.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
