Is It Safe To Take Midodrine And Azor For Low BP While Taking Eligard?

I am 72 years old and just got out of emergency hospital due to low blood pressure 70/48, heart rate 114. They told me to take Midodrine 5mg 3times per day. Currently, I am taking Azor(high blood pressure), Junumet(diabetic type 2), Eligard 45mg for prostate cancer. I read side effect and very scary. If I stop taking Azor, do you think low blood pressure problem will resolve?

Hi,

Low blood pressure problem can be due to the medicine you are using to shrink the prostate as alpha blockers etc cause low blood pressure so dose may needs to be readjusted with the follow up with your urologist. Side effects of medications are individually assessed and vary between patients and if no contraindication is observed medications are usually started. Keep good hydration and oral intake.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
