Is It Safe To Take Metformin For Diabetes Leading To Swelling Of Legs And Ankles?

Sir, Iam a diabetic2 n HTN patient,doctor priscribe me Glimepride 2mg BD, Metformin 500 BD, Enalpril 10mg,amlodipine 5mg,Atorvastatin 10mg 1HS and Renitidine 1BD, after 2yrs swilling occores at ancle and leg, so doctor chancge s amlodipine. my question is , Is it cureable the above diseases? May I consume alcohal once in a week? may any reverse reaction......Please suitable suggasation...

This swelling is due to use of drugs so when u change the drug or reduce its dose this side effect will gradually resolves. Nothing related to alcohol
