Hi,

Klonopin contains clonazepam which is benzodiazepines used to treat anxiety disorder. There are chances of birth defects in babies born to mothers who were on clonazepam during the pregnancy period particularly during the first trimester. But the chance of that anomaly is less than one percentage. Cleft lip and cleft palate are the common side effects observed in children of the mother took clonazepam as monotherapy.

Clonazepam can be tapered slowly to prevent the sudden withdrawal reactions. Even there is withdrawal reactions are observed in babies too such as irritability, sleeplessness, breathing difficulty.

Tramadol is an opioid analgesic prescribed for pain. Tramadol also can cause some anomalies in babies but the chances are very less. So, discuss with the doctor to adjust the dose of the medications you are on. There is no potential side effects for the babies with the drug. But it should be noted that there is very minimal chance of anomalies in the babies.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
