Is It Safe To Take Bronkaid For Asthma While On Vyvanse?

Hello!
I've been having some asthma issues the past couple of days, and got a script for an inhaler, but have to wait to payday. So to save money I got bronkaid otc until then. I'm on Vyvanse (previously filled) is it safe to take together until I get my inhaler?

Hi,

As both these drugs- Bronkaid and Vyvanse belong to the same group of sympathomimetic drugs. Therefore due to additive effects, if both of these are used simultaneously, it may lead to dangerous cardiac, pulmonary, hemodynamic or other outcomes. Combined effects of both may even lead to serious cardiac arrhythmias which may be fatal even sometimes. Hence, it is always better to use these drugs strictly under guidance of your doctor to avoid the serious negative outcome.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
