Is It Safe To Take Azifast To Treat Facial Acne?

hii I am 25 years old (single ,unmarried) . I have acne problem . I consulted best skin doctor this time ... I have taken azifast 500mg 3days/week for 4weeks.. m having different kinds of acne these days i.e. more big acnes on face .. I want to ask does this medicine have any side effects or its normal that initial it will come out and eventually clean from inside ??

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . The acne is very common problem in teens . There can be many reasons for acne Stress and hormonal changes are very common . Other are side effect due to certain medicines .

In your case the condition is exaggerated by he side effect of azithromycin.

I would suggest you to :-

- Immediately stop taking this medicine .

- Take over the counter anti allergic drug like zyrtec.

- Give cold compresses to acne .

- Use facewash containing salicylic acid , which is very effective .

- Apply apple cedar vinegar for 15 minutes and then wash away once daily .

Consult dermatologist to discuss the side effect of antibiotic .

Doctor may prescribe other antibiotics ( clindamycin or meteronodazole ) along with some steroid ointments .
