Is It Safe To Take Antihistamines For Swollen Lips Caused Due To An Allergy?

should my husband see a doctor? after taking some kind of vitamin,(which had split and powder was coming out) he is getting an allergy reaction. swollen lips, no problem breathing, or swallowing. I gave him an antihistamine. how long should it take to work?

Allergy to any compound leads to swelling and redness, pain, itching to affected area or whole body.
Your husband had developed allergic reaction over lip leads to swelling over lip. So you can take antihistamine like cetrizine to treat the condition. How much time it takes to reduce the swelling depend on allergic reaction. So wait for 2-3 days and swelling will be relieved.
