Is It Safe To Have Nexito And Oleanz For Meth Addiction?

a friend of mine started taking methamphethamine for the first time about a month or two. She was sent to a detox psch site and will eventually be transferred to the same company s rehab area. Yesterday, she was prescribed (the parents were only informed thru a text message by the nurse) by her psychiatrist (whom the parents have not met yet, the parents are requesting for an appointment) the following: Vit B1 2x a day; Vit C 1000mg once a day; oleanz 10mg 1 tablet at bedtime and escitalopram (nexito) 10 mg 1/2 tab ( Oct 21-Oct 26) for 6 days and increase to 1 tab (Oct 27) During urinalysis last Oct 20 she was found positve for meth (shabu), hence her confinement. The parents question is...is it ok to take those medication even if their daughter is just a starter or a neophyte? The parents are worried after checking up with google and found out the side effects. Thank you very much and have a nice day.

Nexito and olanzapine both are safe medicines and there is no need to worry about that. Yes, side effects are there but it does not mean that it occurs in all patients. When she has been under treatment of psychiatrist, then there is no need to worry at all about that. And there is no major issue even if she has taken meth.
