my son(1 1/2 year 14 kg) is having cold and cough since 10 days and he was treated with Azee syrup and asthalin even after 5days of azithromycin symptoms are not relieved and now doctor has advised me to start montek LC Kid is it safe to give Montek LC ?please suggest....

Yes..... it is very much safe for the children .
Plain Montek can be given for long time.
Levocetrizine not to be given for long.
Child can be treated very well with proper doses of some broad spectrum antibiotics, antihistasminc,decongestant and bronchodilator medicines.
Nebulization with some bronchodilator and steam inhalation will also help .
