Hi, I bought Barlean's "Raw" "Cold Milled" flaxseed. I read at WWW.WWWW.WW medline's US government website says not to eat raw flaxseed.

Hi,
Generally, eating raw flaxseed is safe, but caution is needed especially :
- you should drink more water when taking flaxseed as it might cause bowel obstruction
- be careful of bleeding phenomena as bleeding is common when using flaxseed
- do monitor your blood sugar and blood pressure levels as you might experience low BP and low BS.
Generally speaking, it is safe to take flaxseed although earlier precautions.
