Is It Safe To Continue With Omnacortil For Nephrotic Syndrome?

My son is 2yr old, 1 week back he was having swelling on his face, legs, we did Blood & urine test for the same. in his urine test Albumin shows ++++ . Doctor has started omnacortil 10mg. 1&half tablet in morning and 1 in evening. just wanna confirm that the treatment given by doctor is correct. Doctor said that he is suffering from Nephrotic Syndrome .

Hi, the treatment given by the doctor is correct. In nephrotic syndrome, steroids (prednisolone) is the preffered drug. In first episode of nephrotic syndrome, steroids are given for 12 weeks. In relapse the dose and duration varies. I hope this has helped you.
