Is It Safe To Continue With Lonazep For Depression?
Hello Doctor..Before 3 years i was suffered in depression.. so my psychiatrist suggest me LONAZEP 0.5.. That time i took this medicine for a week.. then i hesitate to take because some afraid of addiction.. Now past one month am suffering in dppression.. so again am suffering in sleepness .. shal i continue that medicine again?

Long acting benzodiazepines like clonazepam may be taken along with antidepressant medications for initial 3-4 weeks then should be taper off.
Lonazep contains clonazepam is not a antidepressant ,it is anti anxiety medication so it will not treat the underlying depression . please consult with psychiatrist and start proper antidepressant medication ,however lonazep for anxiety or sleep may be taken initially for 3-4 weeks but antidepressant should be continued at least 6 months after complete remission
