Is It Permissible To Take Lortab Before Carotid Endarterectomy Surgery?

My grandmother will be getting a Carotid Endarterectomy within the next two weeks and she wanted to know if it was ok for her to take lortab before the surgery? She has bad tooth pain and doesn t think she ll be able to manage without taking it, but doesn t want to cause any risk to the surgery.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this toothache that your grandma has. It is safe t take this drug. It will not affect surgery and will not cause any other problems related to this planned surgery.

I hope this helps. I wish her a safe procedure and rapid recovery. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be.
