Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I'm currently on LoestrinFE24. I found an unopened package in an old travel bag of mine with an (expiration?) date on it from 2010. Would it be alright to use this pack? I'm not sure if the age would change the effectiveness or if it doesn't matter as much. Thank you.
Deffinitly it does matter. The use of expired tablets is not advisable not only beacuse they may be responsible for untoward reactions but also they wont benifit you physiologically. The use of such tablet give you the only benifit of your psychological satisfaction that you gave taken the tablets.
More over there may be the chances of reactions ranging from mild itching & urticarial reactions to life threatening angioneurotic oedema. So it is not at all advisible to consume such tablets.
