Is It Okay To Take Ecospirin During 1st Trimester?

Hello Dr. .. Wish you a very Happy New Year !
I am 6 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child .. I will be 34 yrs in Jan 2014 .. On my visit to my gynac .. She advised me to take ecospirin 75 mg post meals in the morning .. Till I complete my 1st trimester .. My first delivery was normal ..baby wt was 3kg.. My question is : Is it safe to take ecospirin 75 during 1st trimester ? Does it have any side effects on me or my baby?

hello,welcome to healthcare magic forum.yes,there is no harm in taking ecospirin now.It is mainly given to pregnant ladies because of its blood thinning property.It helps in increasing blood supply to fetus and thus promote good growth.so no need to worry .continue the same.t
