Is It Ok To Plan For Another Baby While Taking Cytomel For Thyroid And A Previous Abortion ?

i am a thyroid patient now my dr asked me to take cytomel tablet also. i hv 1 child .i am planning to go for 2 nd one?? few months back i had abortion also..is it possible i can go for my 2 nd baby now i m 36yrs old.what is the reason for my abortion?? why i have to take my cytomel tablet??pls answer...

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You take cytomel tablet. It is used to treat under active thyroid. Your thyroid is not producing hormones sufficiently. So we are giving external support.

So you should continue cytomel according to advice. You can become pregnant. There is no harm in that. Continue your thyroid medication while having pregnancy. Because hypothyroidism affact the baby.
