Is It Ok To Cut Lexapro Dosage To 5mg And Take It Along With Amitripyline, Zolpidem, Oxybutynin?

Lexapro makes me feel "drugged' Have cut it down several days ago to half (5 mg) at night and it still negatively impacts me. Last night I didn't take it and felt better when I woke up at 7:30 AM. Also take 25 mg amitripyline; 5 mg Zolpidem; and 10 mg. Oxybutynin ER tab.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Please talk to your doctor about this negative impact lexapro has on you and the observation of feeling better when you do not take it to your doctor. he should consider the various reasons for which he prescribed the medication and may want to adjust the drugs or individual dosages. I am concerned about how many different medications you take that can cause sedation(lexapro/amitryptylline/zolpidem). Ask your doctor about what can be done and whether suspending lexapro could be a good idea.

I hope you find this useful. I wish you well. Feel free to request for more information and ask ore questions should need be.
Thanks.
