Is It Normal To Have Sore Thumb After The Cauterization?
I had my thumb cauterized on Sunday afternoon after I dropped a sink on it a week ago. After the thumb cauterization my thumb drained puss and bled and the horrid pain I was feeling ended. It is still very sore and blue. Should I see my regular dr. For advice or wait for my thumb to heal ? Thanks for your help and time. I am a 45 year old type one diabetic.

From history it seems that you got infection in your thumb giving rise this problem.
As you are diabetic, infection should be controlled as soon as possible.
Go for one antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course.
Go for regular dressing after proper cleaning the wound.
Ok and take care.
