Is It Normal To Have Scab After Skin Tag Removal?

I had a skin tag removed 2 weeks ago and it still is irritated by clothing. It had formed a scab that is slightly yellow in the center with a red ring around the scab. The size is about 3/4 of an inch across. Is this normal or should I see my doctor again (who did the liquid nitrogen burn-off)?

Hello,

I have gone through your query and it is normal to have a scab formed. I would recommend you to apply topical antibiotic like Neosporin ointment on the affected area twice daily for 7-10 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
