Is It Normal To Have Itching And Discomfort After Fistulotomy?

I had a fistulotomy a week ago. Everything is going great. I control when I go to the bathroom and am functioning normally. However there is in the area down there itching, the feeling of stuff moving around, and slight discomfort. Is this normal? They said the surgery was straight forward. Thanks for the help.
