Is It Normal To Have Hardness In Scrotum After Hydrocelectomy And Vasectomy?

Eight days a go I had a hydrocelectomy and a vasectomy. The incision is healing well. There is not any major swelling, nor is there any major pain. However, there is some hardness, and a ball shaped area feeling inside the scrotum, that is not one of my testicles. The outside is not discolored or purple. Is this normal? I have an appointment with my urologist on Wednesday, but have not mentioned it to him yet.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Swelling and some hardness is likely for some time after surgery.
If there is no throbbing pain and healing is good, nothing to worry.
Apply ice pack for few days.
Gradually it will be alright.
Ok and take care.
