My 15 months old baby STOOL ROUTINE AND MICROSCOPY result is as below. Is it normal? Can you explain if it shows any symptoms of stomach disorder ? PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: COLOUR :: GREEN CONSISTENCY :: LOOSE MUCUS :: NIL BLOOD :: NIL PH :: 8.0 MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION:: PUS CELLS : 2-4/hpf RED BLOOD CELLS :: NIL OVA/CYST :: NIL

The report suggests an episode of non infective diarrhoea. The most likely cause in this age group is toddlers diarrhoea which occurs due to extra consumption of sugars, juices, sweets and Squash. It easily responds to with holding the above mentioned food products and taking healthy balanced diet.
