Hello,
Children (infants) have higher lymphocyte count than adults and is normal, and can transiently increase with viral infections (EBV) but persistently raised counts with swollen neck glands, anemia, poor fedding and lethargy are ominous signs that require urgent clinical assessment.

HI
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum
Increase in the no of lymphocytes is due to a number of reasons. Most often viral infections. Sometimes other chronic infections also present like this, and some illness like leukemias, lymphomas are the cause.
Are there any other symptoms?
