Is It Normal For The Stitches To Poke Through The Incision Site 3 Wks After Foot Surgery?
I had foot surgery January 23 rd. It's been 3 weeks now and some of the stitches that the doctor told me would dissolve are poking up through the incision site and anytime anything at all just brushes it, it feels like a hot prod has been stuck to my skin! My pain tolerance is pretty high, but this makes me break out in a sweat and even cry! Should I be concerned or us it a normal sensation and....if I see a stitch poking up, can I try to just pull it out myself or would that be worse?

hi normally the suture which are put deeper are applied in such a way that there knot goes inside the wound and do not irritate but sometimes few knot's or thread comes out, which can be easily removed otherwise they may be starting point of infection. get them removed after consulting with your doctor . feel free to discuss anytime and manytime.
